BETRAYAL by Harvey B. Robbins with David W. Cowens & Robert L. Keighton, Ph.D. (back cover click to enlarge) For ten years the historic open fields of Prowse Farm near Boston, MA became a battlefield, pitting those seeking to preserve a precious slice of America's heritage against those seeking to profit from the land. BETRAYAL is a provocative, behind-the-scenes account of unyielding citizens, a powerful corporation and an aspiring presidential candidate put to the test of time and pressure. The results are both inspiring and chilling.

Julia Ruth Stevens is the daughter of the immortal Babe Ruth, considered by many to be the greatest player in the history of baseball. The Friends of Prowse Farm were proud to sponsor a ceremony during Farm City Festival 2001, to honor the Boston Red Sox career of George "Babe" Ruth. During which time he led the Red Sox to their last World Series championship in 1918. Julie Ruth Stevens attended the honoring ceremony and personally autographed commemorative copies of her new book on her life with her dad. According to Mrs. Stevens, Major League Dad is not a baseball book. Instead, with the help of Bill Gilbert, Julia Ruth Stevens has recorded her cherished personal memories of her father. She shares never-before-seen glimpses of the Babe's family life. All of these cherished stories and more are here, as only Babe's daughter could tell them.
